Plain terms for a simple product.
Hostbeam is software you run on your own devices, talking to your own servers. These terms cover the few things worth writing down. Using or buying Hostbeam means you agree with them.
The free tier
Free use of Hostbeam (5 beams per day, per device) is yours for as long as you like, for any purpose, no account required.
The license
A Hostbeam license is a one-time purchase for one person. It removes the daily limit on up to 3 of your devices (Macs and iPhones, any mix) and includes 12 months of updates from the purchase date. After that, every version released within your update window keeps working forever; renewing at half price extends the window. Deactivate a device in the app to free its seat for another. Please don't share or resell keys; that's the one thing that breaks the honest model this pricing depends on.
Purchases and refunds
Purchases on this site are sold by Paddle, our merchant of record, under Paddle's buyer terms. If Hostbeam isn't working out within 14 days of buying, email support@hostbeam.app or contact Paddle and you'll get a refund; a refund deactivates the license. Purchases made inside the iOS app are sold by Apple under Apple's terms, and refunds for those go through Apple.
The honest limits
Hostbeam is provided as is. It moves files between machines you control, using access you configured; you're responsible for where you point it and what you beam. We work hard to make it reliable, but we can't promise it is free of bugs, and to the maximum extent the law allows, our liability for any damages is limited to what you paid for your license. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law gives you and doesn't let us take away.
Housekeeping
Hostbeam is an independent, developer-run product. How we handle data is in the privacy policy. If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and material changes will be called out plainly. Questions: support@hostbeam.app.
